Experience Details

Tilligerry Habitat is a nine-hectare crown reserve in Tanilba Bay on the foreshore of beautiful Port Stephens. Tilligerry Habitat showcases koalas and wildlife habitat, as well as a native nursery. Visitors are welcomed in the information centre, which is an eco-friendly straw bale building, where interactive displays and a souvenir shop are located. Local natives and garden plants are for sale from the onsite nursery. There is a wide range of scenic forest, scrub, wetland and coastal environments accessed by a network of paths and boardwalks. A fully accessible picnic area is situated next to the visitor centre. An easy two-kilometre walk on flat gravel paths and boardwalks will afford the visitor the opportunity to see native plants, birds and possibly even a koala in the wild.
