Experience Details

Rathmines Memorial Bowling Club is a licensed Club with an excellent Thai-based restaurant. The Club is part of the Heritage listed Rathmines Park. The Club has a Memorial Wall to commemorate the squadrons which were based at Rathmines and the 322 aircrew who lost their lives flying Catalina flying boats during the war. The base reached its peak strength of almost 3000 officers and other ranks in 1944-45 and was the largest flying boat base in Australia
