Melaleuca Surfside, in Port Stephens, is an architecturally designed, owner-operated retreat three minutes from the sparkling waters of spectacular One Mile Beach midway along the newly renovated Tomaree Coastal Walk. The boutique-style accommodation uses wood and glass to maximise light, space and harmony with nature. With views to the stars, stay in a cabin or camp out in bushland with the local wildlife. They are a Land for Wildlife property, no domestic pets are allowed. A tranquil retreat in a natural bush setting with accommodations ranging from cabins (one to four share), dormitory rooms (six share), the Bird Cage a group share self-contained facility (for up to 30 )and the grassed "car-free" campground with a few shaded Kombi van sites. Available for all guests, hot showers with fresh water, a magnificent main building housing double kitchens with all crockery and cutlery, and a lounge area with free Wifi. Covered decked areas with tables, chairs and free barbecues. Laundry facilities are also available.
