Melaleuca at One Mile, in Port Stephens, is an architecturally designed, owner-operated retreat three minutes from the sparkling waters of spectacular One Mile Beach, midway along the newly renovated Tomaree Coastal Walk.
The boutique-style accommodation uses wood and glass to maximise light, space and harmony with nature. With views to the stars, stay in a cabin with sliding walls or camp out on grounds surrounded by bushland with the local wildlife. It is a Land for Wildlife property, so no domestic pets are allowed.
A spacious, tranquil retreat in a natural setting with accommodations ranging from cabins (one to four share), dormitory rooms (six share), the Bird Cage, a group share self-contained facility (for up to 30 ) and the grassed "car-free" campground with a few shaded Kombi van sites. Bookings can be made on Hipcamp or Hostelworld.
Available for all guests, hot showers with fresh water, a magnificent main building housing double kitchens with all crockery and cutlery, and a lounge area with free Wifi. Covered decked areas with tables, chairs and free barbecues. Laundry facilities are also available.
