Melaleuca is an architecturally designed, owner-operated backpacker retreat, located three minutes walk from the sparkling waters of spectacular One Mile Beach in Port Stephens. The boutique-style accommodation uses wood and glass to maximise light, space and harmony with nature. With views to the stars, stay in a cabin or camp out in bushland with the local wildlife. They are a Land for Wildlife property, no domestic pets are allowed. A tranquil retreat in a natural bush setting with accommodations ranging from cabins (one to four share), dormitory rooms (six share), the Bird Cage a group share self-contained facility (for up to 26 )and the grassed "car-free" campground with a few shaded Kombi van sites. Available for all guests, the magnificent main building houses double kitchens with all crockery and cutlery, a lounge area with free Wifi. Decked areas with tables, chairs and free barbecues. Laundry is also available for guests. Bus stops on-site and off-street car parking. Easy access to Anna Bay and Nelson Bay. Professional tour companies welcome, catering options and Sand Dune and other tours available upon request.
