The Dungog Common Recreation Reserve and Ride Dungog are hosting the 2024 UCI Pump Track World Championships – Australia Qualifier Event. The new 177 m Velosolutions pump track opened on 19 January 2024, the layout of which is especially appealing to competitors. Its adjacent 36 m kids’ loop will also be featured during this two-day event and promoted to young families. Riders who wish to compete in this national competition can register online. The Dungog MTB Park is a premier destination for biking enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels in NSW. Nestled in the picturesque backdrop of the Barrington Tops, the Dungog Common features outstanding flow tracks and over 30 kms of mountain bike trails. It’s also an important nature destination for bushwalkers, trail runners and horse riders. The recent addition of its Velosolutions pump track and dual slalom course has solidified its national recognition as an outstanding MTB destination. Additionally, the park serves as a platform for both professional and amateur riders to showcase their talents through events and competitions. The township of Dungog is situated three hours by road north of Sydney and one hour from Newcastle. Dungog is also located along the XPT train line, which operates twice daily. There is ample parking onsite, and accommodation and food for all tastes in town.
