Boat Beach is framed by headlands, spectacular rocky outcrops and a steep house-peppered mainland. The beach here is nearly always quite flat and suitable for families.
Snorkelling is good along the rocks and the island offshore called Statis Rock. It is also a haven for divers.
When you are there, check out the huge shells for sale by the local fishermen and take the gravel road straight up to Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse.
