Experience Details

Tilligerry Habitat is a nine hectare crown reserve in Tanilba Bay on the foreshore of beautiful Port Stephens. Tilligerry Habitat showcases koalas and wildlife habitat as well as a native nursery. Visitors are welcomed in the information centre which is an eco-friendly straw bale building, where interactive displays and a souvenir shop are located. Local natives and garden plants are for sale from the onsite nursery. There is a wide range of scenic forest, scrub, wetland and coastal environments accessed by a network of paths and boardwalks. A fully accessible picnic area is situated next to the visitor centre. An easy two kilometre walk on flat gravel paths and boardwalks will afford the visitor the opportunity to see native plants, birds and possibly even a koala in the wild.
